Everyday use
- Dishwasher & microwave: safe unless the listing says otherwise.
- Handwashing keeps glossy glazes brightest over the years.
- Avoid thermal shock: don't move a piece straight from the fridge into a hot oven, or pour boiling water into an ice-cold mug.
Unglazed bottoms
The foot of each piece is left raw so it doesn't stick to the kiln shelf. I sand every one smooth, but if it ever feels rough on a table, a quick rub with fine sandpaper fixes it.
Crazing and chips
Small chips on a rim mean it's time to retire a mug from drinking duty — it will make a lovely pen cup or plant pot.
